URGENT RFE: enable line-breaks in text displayed forums and blogs

In my case it takes almost all of my will-power to force myself to read any longer text that isn't split into paragraphs.
PLEASE, preserve any line-breaks in the text that the user inputs and translate the line-breaks to p or br tags when displaying the text.
