Hemmaflickvän a prostitutional trend or turning back to traditionalism?

Several young Swedish females quit job and live a stay-at home lifestyle while husbands working to make their living. They say they need no work-related stress so choose to live a soft "life" at home. Feminists argue that's a step backward for gender equality, and really, there's no equality at all considering who make the money and who is kept - in my opinion. With other words, is this the typical ancient rule of women, who stay at home to look after the family while husband making the money? Or these females are just kept women who just live off their boyfriend/husband income? I can't decide.
