Why is Sweden so obsessed with sexköp law?

I met an escort from Norway today who's touring Stockholm now and she said it's crazy how people are scared of the police here. Even though Norway has the same law, it's much safer for punters there, and overall no problems, she said. But here it's different. Same thing happened last year when I met a touring escort from France (same law, and she said no problems with police). Both girls were top class by the way. Maybe the lack of good escorts is also somehow related to this.

Even more, Denmark has legalized escorting and there's not much buzz about it there. Finland - the same. Basically all Sweden's neighbors are fine with it. Australia! First world country, part of western world, and they even have fully legal brothels there! Germany, Switzerland, Holland, whatever...

Only Sweden went full retard about it. Why is it so? Sunk cost fallacy - "we invented it and we won't stop until we prove it's right"? Or just "we're the best country and everyone must learn from us"? Or just femi-nazis in government who not only hate men but also hate when girls decide for themselves that they want to work in this business (I'm talking about independent escorts - trafficking must be stopped, but there are already other laws applicable for this). So far this law only made things worse for escorts - more problems with criminal clients, impossible to screen clients, no help and only harassing from the police (girl calls police -> automatically kicked from the apartment, and also harassed by police).

These are mostly rhetorical questions, but this country is really f..ed in the head on this matter! All right, I'm done with my rant. What do you guys and girls think?
